Hoofbeats with Heart receives grant from Arizona Cardinals Charities!

Hoofbeats with Heart would like to give a big THANK YOU to the Arizona Cardinals Charities for providing us with a generous grant enabling us to continue our mission of improving the lives of adults and children living with disabilities in the Valley of the Sun.

The Programs we offer:

Equine Therapy Equine Assisted Therapy

Hoofbeats with Heart Hippotherapy

Hippotherapy treatment programs offer a unique and effective therapeutic approach for children with disabilities, including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, and sensory processing issues. By utilizing the movement of horses, these programs provide multidimensional therapy that enhances physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The rhythmic and repetitive motion of horseback riding helps improve balance, coordination, and muscle strength, essential for children with motor function challenges. Moreover, the interaction with the horse fosters emotional growth, boosts self-esteem, and promotes social skills, making hippotherapy a comprehensive treatment option for young patients.

The benefits of hippotherapy for children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities extend beyond physical improvements. Engaging with horses in a controlled environment encourages sensory integration and enhances neurological function, which can lead to better communication skills and cognitive processing. Therapists tailor sessions to each child’s specific needs, ensuring personalized and effective therapy. Studies have shown significant progress in children who participate in hippotherapy, highlighting its value as a holistic and adaptive treatment. Parents and caregivers often notice remarkable improvements in their child’s overall quality of life, making hippotherapy a valuable addition to traditional therapeutic practices.
